Abstract
Household waste is a serious problem in the environment, the large amount of waste production produced at 1.8 tons per day makes the Bekasi City Government collaborate with BSIP to overcome household waste to reduce and manage waste. Creating a Waste Bank in Bekasi City seeks to reduce waste, from 2017 to June 2022 3,643 tons are managed. Based on this problem, the research is aimed at analyzing the environmental communication of the Bekasi City Government in the Waste Bank campaign in Bekasi City. Through communication, cooperation can go well. The purpose of the study was to determine the environmental communication of the Bekasi City Government in the social campaign of waste banks in Bekasi City. Descriptive qualitative research method with case study approach. The results of the study explained the communication between the Bekasi City Government and BSIP, to collaborate in managing household waste and reducing waste thrown into landfills in Bekasi City, it was found that environmental communication is very effective using action and reflection because it provides an action in campaigns and learning. For further research, it is urged to use quantitative research methods to find out the perspective of society.
