Abstract
Rahmat Hidayat : 41182170170020 : Thesis : "Adaptation Strategy to Rob Flood Disaster in North Coastal Communities Sungaibuntu Village, Pedes District, Karawang Regency". Department of Geography Education Study Program at Islamic University "45" Bekasi. The purpose of this study was to find out the forms of adaptation of the population in dealing with tidal floods in Sungaibuntu Village. This type of examination uses a clear quantitative technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and observation. The number of samples taken was 93 respondents who lived in Sungai Tegal, Sungaibuntu 1 and Sungaibuntu 2 hamlets. The sample examination procedure used was a purposive sample examination. The results showed that the forms of adaptation of the population in dealing with tidal floods in Sungaibuntu Village, Pedes District, Karawang Regency were active adaptation and passive adaptation. From the results of this study it can be seen that the active adaptation activities carried out by the residents are in the form of activities before the tidal flood arrives, activities during the tidal flood, and activities after the tidal flood recedes. While the passive adaptations carried out by residents are in the form of adjustments to environmental ethical norms and values and an understanding of the phenomenon of tidal floods from experience.
