Abstract
ABSTRACT Evaluation of the Arabic Language Practice Program in the Al-Andalus International Islamic Boarding School, Kec. Sukamakmur Kab. Bogor, Dwi Wahyu Iskandar, Student of the Master of Management Study Program in Islamic Education, abunawaiskandar@gmail.com, 2022. This study aims to determine and analyze the evaluation of the Arabic language practice program in the Al-Andalus International Islamic boarding school, Kec. Sukamakmur Kab. Bogor, starting from the target context evaluation, input evaluation, process evaluation and product evaluation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a CIPP evaluation approach. In this study, the data collection techniques carried out by the researcher were observation, interviews and documentation. After collecting the data, an analysis was carried out with data reduction, data display and verification to obtain an overview of the implementation of the evaluation of the Arabic language practice program in the Al-Andalus International Islamic boarding school. The results showed that: 1) the context evaluation component in the Arabic language practice program was in accordance with the program background, program implementation objectives, participant interests and target participants in participating in the program; 2) the input evaluation component in the boarding school environment is in accordance with the criteria, namely teachers who have and master 4 Arabic language competencies, namely; speaking, writing, reading and listening as well as having teaching experience, students are not required to be able to speak Arabic when entering the Al-Andalus International Islamic Boarding School, and the curriculum has been designed taking into account the age of the students as well as the stages of mastery of vocabulary and sentences, practical programs This is also supported by the existence of a budget allocation. Meanwhile, in terms of facilities and infrastructure, more support is needed; 3) the process evaluation component is in accordance with the program design, that is, it already has a foundation objectives, timeframe, methods, strategies, in the implementation of the program students are actively involved in this practical activity but not all strategies can be applied and the teachers are less active in implementing language practice, while in program supervision there are no supervision standards, instruments, SOP, Technical Guidelines and as well as the absence of schedule practice programs; and 4) the product evaluation component of the implementation of the practice program has been running well and in accordance with expectations so as to be able to produce alumnus who mastering Arabic both orally and in writing.
