Abstract

Indonesia, which is a tropical country so it gets good sunlight, unfortunately this energy is not optimally utilized. This sunlight can be converted into electrical energy by solar cells and produces energy that is large enough to meet the electricity needs of the community, most of which are supplied by non-renewable energy sources. To optimize solar energy, a tool is needed that can orient solar panels to the sun. The time for conducting the research starts from 12 August 2022 to 26 August 2022 with the implementation time being 08.00–16.00 WIB, with checks being carried out once every hour. The angles used are 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 40° for east and -40°, -30°, -20°, -10° for west. The results of measurements of Light Intensity (Lux), Voltage (V) and Current Strength (A) on the East to West 120WP Solar Cell Panel which have been carried out for nine days, to look for the effect of the angle of inclination of the 120WP solar cell panel and look for the highest efficiency of the panel sun to the angle formed. From the results of this study there are differences in efficiency for each angle. Shows that every change in angle between the incident light and the solar cell panel greatly affects the strength and weakness of the voltage received by the solar cell panel. The highest efficiency is achieved at the tilt angle of the solar cell panel 0° which is equal to 18.47%, the second highest efficiency is at an angle of 10° which is equal to 18.19% and the third highest efficiency is at an angle of -10° which is equal to 16.76 %.
