Abstract
The use of plastic waste as a material to produce fuel is an alternative that can increase economic value, besides that it can also solve environmental problems. Pyrolysis or devitalization is a process of material fractionation by hot temperatures or a little oxygen where the raw material will experience a breakdown of the chemical structure into a gas phase. This study aims to determine the power, torque, exhaust emissions and fuel efficiency of the addition of LDPE pyrolysis oil. The research variables that were carried out using mixed bio-oil and catalyst variables were F100, B10E, B5E, B10B, B5B. The highest torque for each type of fuel occurs at 6500 rpm and the highest power for each type of fuel occurs at 5000 rpm. For fuel efficiency, the pyrolysis mixture of LDPE 450℃ pyrolysis oil is soaked in broquet, which is the most efficient pertalite fuel. a mixture of 450℃ LDPE pyrolysis oil soaked in a catalyst (Eco Racing and Broquet) mixed with pertalite fuel can increase the yield of hydrocarbon emissions, but can reduce the results of carbon monoxide emissions.
