Abstract

ABSTRACT Adellia Widya Pratama: 41182911160076 “THE CONCEPT OF PROFESSIONAL SOCIAL SCIENCE AND ITS RELEVANCE TO ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION STUDYING KUNTOWIJOYO” Islamic religious education. Faculty of Islamic religion “45” Bekasi 2023. Prophetic social science or can be briefly being an ISP in one of the important ideas of Kuntowijoyo. The prophetic word comes from English “prophet” which means the prophet. The concept of professional social science itself is a social science that responds to the message of prophetic messages. However, the many Indonesian people who lost their balance in social life due to the entry of western cultute by eliminating the norms that apply in Indonesia, giving rise to the many disputes that occurred in the Indonesian people caused by misunderstanding in receiving information in the community. The formulation of the problem in this study is how Kuntowijoyo‟s thinking about the concept of professional social science and its relevance to islamic riligious education. This research was conducted aimed at finding out how Kuntowijoyo‟s thinking about the concept of professional social science and its relevance to islamic religious education and contribute to scientific work that is useful to be presented to readers in general and to the writer in particular. The types of research that the author uses are “library research” or literature research that specifically examines a problem to obtain data in writing this research. The results of the study showed that professional social science has three main values, namely: (1) Humanization, (2) Liberation, (3) Transcendence, of which the three values are relevant to Islamic religious education.
