Abstract

This study aims to determine the motives that cause people in Cibuntu village to carry out unregistered marriages and to find out the perpestrators of unregistered marriages in readiness to face the problems of marriage administrasion. The type of reseacrch is qualitative reseacrch with field research. Sources of data in the form of Primary Materials, namely sources of data directly obtained from sources, the perpetrators of siri marriages in Cibuntu Village, then Secondary Materials, namely books related to research problems, journals,and so on. Data collection techniques with interview and documentation methods, and data analysis techniques with qualitative analysis. The factors that cause siri marriages in Cibuntu village, cibitung sub-district, factors that cause people to carry out siri marriage are economic factors, pregnancy outside of marriage, underage marriage, parental concerns and lack of knowledge and understanding of the community on the importance of marriage registration. Of several factors, the most dominant is the economic factor.
