Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of academic self-efficacy and self-compassion on grit. This research is a quantitative research with a correlational design and this study uses a probability sampling technique with stratified random sampling with a total of 130 students from class X to class XII at MAN 2 Bekasi. The data collection method uses a questionnaire, the research research instrument used. is a psychological scale of academic self-efficacy, self-compassion, and grit using a modified Likert scale. Pearson's product moment correlation results found that academic self-efficacy and self-compassion had a significant relationship with grit. This study also found an effect on grit in students of MAN 2 Bekasi. The results of the multiple linear regression test obtained a coefficient of determination giving (R2) of 0.192 which can be interpreted that the effect of academic self-efficacy and self-compassion variables on grit is 19.2%. while the remaining 81.8% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
