Abstract

STATIC LOADING ANALYSIS AND MATERIAL SELECTION FRAME ON SEA WATER DISTILATION EQUIPMENT USING SOFTWARE SOLIDWORK Sea water has a salt content because the earth is filled with millennial salt found in rocks and soil. Whereas natural resources, especially sea water, can be used to meet the needs of clean water for coastal communities when processed into fresh water, one of the technologies that can be applied to process salt or brackish water into fresh water is the distillation system. The purpose of this study is to analyze the static loading that occurs and the selection of materials in the framework of the seawater distillation apparatus. From theoretical calculations and software analysis, the comparative value of the results of the comparative analysis of Von Misses, Displacement and Safety Factor is obtained. In the calculation of Von Mises theory on the ASTM A36 frame, the value of 15.07 MPa is obtained and the simulation value is 21.4 MPa with a percentage comparison of results of 2.1%. Meanwhile, in the calculation of Von Mises theory on the Galvaniz frame, the value is 15.07 MPa. and the simulation obtained a value of 21.4 MPa. In the results of the theoretical displacement calculation on the ASTM A36 frame, a value of 0.04 mm is obtained and in the simulation a value of 0.584 mm is obtained with a percentage comparison of the results of 9.3%. obtained a value of 0.588 mm. The result of the calculation of the Safety of Factor theory on the ASTM A36 frame is 16.5 ul and the software is 16.5 ul with a comparison percentage of 2.3%, while in the calculation of the Safety of Factor theory on the Galvanized frame the value is 13,530 ul and the simulation is obtained value of 9.534 ul, then each of these frames can be said that the safety factor obtained is quite safe.
