Abstract

The Effect of the Snowball Throwing Method in Improving the Learning Outcomes of Class X Students of SMA Negeri 1 Babelan Bekasi This study aims to determine the effect of learning using the Snowball Throwing method on student learning outcomes, and whether there are differences in learning outcomes between students who are treated using the lecture method. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Babelan Bekasi in August. This type of research uses Quasi Experiments. The research sample amounted to 28 students in class X for the experimental class, and also 28 students in class X in the control class. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The research instrument used is a multiple-choice test that has been tested. The data collection technique is in the form of a test (pretest-posttest) which consists of 25 questions and documentation, meanwhile, the data analysis technique used in this study was the t-test the results showed that the snowball throwing method applied to the experimental class could significantly affect student learning outcomes in pie learning. This can be seen from the average learning outcomes of students who are taught the snowball throwing method. This is evident from the description of the pretest data, when the snowball throwing method has not been implemented in the experimental class, the mean value of the class x is 71.82 and the control class is x = 62.25, but after being given the x posttest treatment, the experimental class reaches x = 82.92 and the control class is 73. ,53 . while the results of data analysis using the paired sample test obtained the results that tcount > ttable (9.422 > 0.312), while the Lecture Method obtained tcount > ttable (7.986 > 0.312), then there was a difference in the average results of the pre-test and post-test experimental class and control class.
