Abstract

Laili Amalia Husna. NPM 4118291180011. The Effect of Problem Based Learning Model on Critical Thinking Skills of Class XI Student at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Bekasi. Islamic Religious Education Studi Program, Facullty of Islamic Religion, Islamic Univercity “45” Bekasi. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the problem based learning model on critical thinking skills. This research is a quantitative research with the type of research is Quasi Experimental Design. With a population of students from SMA Negeri 4 Kota Bekasi, the sample used was XI IPS I as the experimental class and XI IPS II as the control class. Data collection techniques used in the study were test and observations. The problem studied in this study is whether the Problem Based Learning Model effect the critical thunking skills of studiendts in the subject of Islamic Religius education in class XII SMA Negeri 4 Kota Bekasi? In this regard, this suty aims to determine and analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning Model on critical thinking skills which emphasize the aspect (1) Finding Concepts, (2) Synthesizing, (3) Evaluating, (4) Giving Conclusions. Result Analysis of data using the SPSS 25 statistical test, decision making to find wether or not the influence of the Problem Based Learning on students critical thinking skills in PAI learning uases the T Test. Based on the result of the T test, the resukt is that the T count (Paired Sample Test) is 21,815 dan 〖 t〗_tabel = 0,296, then t_hitung > 〖 t〗_tabel (21.815 >0,296) which mean tahat the use of Problem Based Learning model effect critical thinking skills of students in PAI subject. It the concludes H_1 is accpted and H_0 is rejected. From the result of the study, there are things that researcher need to suggest, namely in carrying out learning activities using the peoblem based learning model, they must use clear and straight forward language so there is no misunderstanding of the concept of the material given to students.
