Abstract
ABSTRACT A farmer group is a form of farmer association that functions as an extension media which is expected to be more focused in changing farming activities for the better. Better farming activities can be seen from the increase in farm productivity which in turn will increase farmers' income so that it will support the creation of better welfare for farmers and their families. This study aims to determine the role of farmer groups in increasing lowland rice farmers, knowing the income of farmers in the fields, and knowing the relationship of the role of farmer groups to increasing the income of lowland rice farmers. Determination of the number of respondents used the slovin method with an error of 5% and the number of respondents studied was 164 respondents. The data used were primary data and secondary data. Data analysis methods used are Likert scale, farming analysis, and Chi-Square analysis. The results of this study are farmer groups play a good role in increasing farmers' income with an average score of 2.62 or into the good category, the receipt of one hectare of lowland rice farmers in Srigading Village is Rp.34,320,000,00 and production costs are Rp.8,868,000,00 and there is no relationship between the role of farmer groups and the income of lowland rice farming in Srigading Village Keywords: farmer groups, role of farmer groups, and farming income.
